Welcome to the Marathon Boat Owners Group Forum Steve.
Truly the only one of its forum kind in the world, for Marathon Boats/Cruisers.. So you have a 1992.. From our records, 92 was last year that Marathon ever made boats.. (as we know it). It was Marathon Cruisers.
FYI: Marathon boats existed from 84-89, then Marathon Cruisers took over from 90-92.. and Marathon Cruisers became history in the boat making biz, so to speak..
So your ship should be a 92 Marathon Cruiser 2100 Express, 20.25 feet long and 96 inches (8ft) wide (at the widest point. Weighing in at approximately 3370 pounds with an empty fuel tank and without any gear or passengers.
What type of engine and outdrive do you have in your 92 Steve?
It might be hard to get the installed tank size depending on what they had available at the time - they could have put slightly varied sized tanks in.
To be sure, should take a look at your tank. The fuel tank has a capacity plate on it.. showing in US gallons capacity.. You should be able to find it on viewing the tank.
The capacity plate for the tank, should be affixed to the top of the tank (usually on a corner) toward the rear or starboard of the tank as it sits in the boat.. but you might have to take a good look at the tank to find the label.. It has capacity, where the tank was fabricated etc.
Anyways, welcome to this forum Steve.. There are lots of guys in here that know lots about everything, not just Marathons.. but they know them too, so any questions etc, please don't hesitate to throw them into the mix in the forum.. because someone will be able to help or suggest options or cures on just about everything.

Welcome to the board Steve, Please stick around. Norm is right about the tank having capacity listed on it mine happens to be 48 gallon. My top cruising speed is about 35mph.

Steve, Christopher has a 1987 21' Weekender..(his tank size is 48 gallons). A very simular boat to yours.
And Christopher.. Let's clarify your true boat speed shall we? .
That would be a 35MPH (from time to time), when it's NOT loaded with piles of FISH!!.

I use the Origo 3000 on the Daisy J III which is alcohol only. I love that stove it works great and cleans easy plus all stainless. It has held up great during the years of use. I used to buy special stove alcohol at the marine store (very expensive) but I have found that the hardware stores sell denatured alcohol much cheaper and it works great.

If there is one thing that Bob is serious about, it's boating and fishing and trains and life in general.........As long as there is a whole pile of shenangians that go along with it.. And in life and in here, most of us take pride in thinking that humor is the very best medicine... so we are very very healthy people!.

(Found that out while trying to see Bill's 1st set of mini-pics).. I expanded them by <CTRL> +++ so I could see that there was indeed a boat involved..lol.... but on the increased size, they were fuzzy and blurred). I'm just glad that later, Griffo found the original pics on his camera and re-uploaded them in a larger format.. now they can be clearly identified polluting the lake! lol

By the way Steve.. Most of us regular M.B.O.G. forum members have been given titles (or self proclaimed) and/or have been appointed to positions.. (It’s an evolutionary process occurring over time). If you go back to the beginning and read through the posts, the title/position appoints of the members will become obvious.
So over time, the following are positions or titles held by the incumbents of this elite group:

(One version is to post on this forum (a simplistic one liner type), (Cause the forum can't handle the more complex one), and a more comprehensive one that I send out to everyone via email.. I'll start updating them to add your info and send out a new revision..
I think I have most of your info for the spreadsheet. like your name, (Steve Sorrow-right?), boat type-yup, motor/outdrive type-yup, location (South Carolina), email id-yup, a few picture links-yes ..
Oh, need your your dob.. if you aren't too sticky about admitting your age... dd/mm/yy.. (Yes we even say or sing or put out a post (when we don't forget), wishing a Happy Birthday to our guys..lol.)
And do you have an occupation and if so what do you do? Just generally, not specific, like: an auto mechanic or plumber or attourney or electrician or bank manager or teller.. or chef.. or robber, or fisherman, or casino dealer..etc.. you get the idea..
And - if you have a name for your vessel? We include that on the spreadsheet.. (It kinda personalizes our vessels)
Anyways, I'll get started updating the spreadsheets Sir Sorrow..

wow Steve.. lots of action and stress..
I have two parents - both that have had strokes and more.. it is a tough time on a daily basis with them.. with no help from a totally selfish and spoiled my sister, I might add..
Then the other aspect of maritial unbliss.. very stressfull time for you, my friend.
Hey your daughter (Sarah) must be very close to me.. I'm also in "TO" Toronto (GTA- Greater Toronto Area, in the east end).. So when you visit her.. make sure you let me know.. so we can meet and do a lunch or supper and bond over a <Clink>..lol.. And if you need anyone to check up on what she's doing, I'm your man.. I can do a little PI work on the side for you..lol..
Shrimper, you sure got a good price for your boat.. just think of all the money your saved buying it.. that you can put into to repairing and bringing her back to lfe again.. back into tip top shape.. I paid 8 times more for my boat..but it is in very good shape so I don't have too much to do on it except an exhaust baffle. and a few misc things that I want to do..
BoB. getting your snow today...It started @ 04:00. I just arrived at to work (back on day shift), and already there is 3" on the ground and another, they say, foot will accumulate by 4pm.. arg.. so much for a good day in the railway industry!!.

Tracy - my new wheel is 400mm which to you guys is 15 3/4"
I don't have blueprints for the dash, but I have drawings
of how I designed it and all the circuit diagrams for how I
wired it.

were the cheapest I could find anywhere for a Stainless wheel.

Christopher, The new dash doesn't hamper vision, it was crap
before if you were seated. As Bob rightly says I'm a stander-upper
at the helm, I like an unimpeded 360 degree view when I'm at sea.
Bob, haven't suffered with my hemorrhoids for quite some years now,
they've settled down.
Christopher, love the bike, I have a Honda but not an old one like you,

Steve - Welcome to the forum - member no.14. Have you read the backposts,
if so you will know that we are designing a 'club' flag to fly on our boats
I presume as a fully fledged member that you will be interested? ( If our PR
, administration, membership secretary etc etc ever gets his finger out )
Steve, if you don't find a label on your fuel tank, measure the height, width
and depth and calculate it with some simple maths.
Glad to here that you are going to cruise your Marathon instead of converting
it into a work boat - let's keep these old ladies alive.
Your cruising speed is dependant on a lot of factors, all up weight, reduction
in the outdrive, size and pitch of propellor and the amount of trim you apply
with the flaps. If you don't have flaps, get some! They make a tremendous
difference as the Marathon is a planing hull.
By the way the rest of you guys, Steve is a commercial captain! Does this mean
that we should bestow on him the title of 'Training Officer'?
Christopher, how could anybody relieve you of the title of *Star Of Clink*
most of the photos and videos we see of you, you are either pouring a drink

Switlikbob (Bob N.) This I believe is the ultimate vision of the MBOG. But first, it is good to know you are still an active member and hope you participate more. The idea of subdivisions would defiantly make it easier to follow problems, interests, and topics discussed. Remember we are on the Boaters connection thread and I truly believe that is exactly what is happing here. Pervious discussion on this exact issue has been addressed. The outcome was that if we could reach a certain number of active members and (let me add honorary members) we would look into starting our own website. As for now, it was determined that staying on one thread we will have the most exposure to Marathon boat owners. Point in case: if you google Marathon Boats you will find many links to this thread. I must say that is just my opinion and this should be up for further discussion.

Bob first and foremost.. welcome back.. Like where the heck have you been hiding???. Like Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, n Stuff… And if you had a birthday, Happy Birthday too!!!.
Secondly to your post.. In my humble opinion, I agree with Sir Grunder.. splitting up the forum would be detrimental for what members we do have participating on this forum.
Since we only have 14 members.. and out of those 14, only half are participating.. (the rest have been AWOL.. some for a long time), I don't think it would be very good to try to split up 6 or 7 members by their boat model into separate groups?
At least the 6 or 7 participating members.. regardless of marathon boat model, all have various things in common, like the engines, out-drive, the maintenance of same, helms/dashes, fridges/icebox, v-berths, improvements, modifications.. helping each other figure out stuff..etc etc…with only minor variations.
